Alison trained at The Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Australia.
Theatre : Alison has just returned from Paris where she appeared in The English National Opera's production of On The Town, at the Theatre du Chatelet. Alison created the roles of Diana Dream / Dolores Dolores / Dixie Chick in the E.N.O.'s 2005 & 2007 productions at The Coliseum. She created the role of Shawntel for the RNT/Cambridge Theatre production of Jerry Springer the Opera, for which she received a Laurence Olivier Award 2004 nomination for Best Actress in a Musical. Other credits include Smokey Joe’s Café (Prince of Wales), Pitti-Sing in The Hot Mikado (Queen’s), Jan in Grease (Dominion), The Fabulous Singlettes in Stop In The Name Of Love (Piccadilly, Comedy & Duke of York’s) receiving a Laurence Olivier Award Nomination for Best New Talent, Mrs. Austin in Prisoner Cell Block H: The Musical (Queen’s), Ida in Honk: The Ugly Duckling (Watermill), Mary Bland in Eating Raoul (Bridewell), Mabel Washington in Fame (Oslo Spektrum & Swedish Tour), Black Goes With Everything (Churchill Theatre, Bromley), Tina in Inner City (Cockpit), Ilse von Hesse in Nine (Original Australian Cast) & The Pirates of Penzance (Victoria State Opera).

Alison has appeared as a soloist on Friday Night’s Music Night (BBC Radio 2) on numerous occasions.Commercials : Burger King 1:99er Campaign (Girl on the Cannon/ Bonnie Tyler), Honda Civic 2006.Alison was working as a session singer in Australia years before she moved to London, where as a soloist, she sang on the movie soundtracks to Being Julia, The Corpse Bride, Lion King III, Cody Banks II, ITV drama The Jury (released on Polydor) and on numerous television theme tunes.Choir work includes Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, Da Vinci Code, Willie Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, Shrek II, The Life of David Gale, Die Another Day, Beloved, Star Wars 1, Evita, Veronika Guerin, Tombraider.Alison has provided backing vocals for various artists including Kylie Minogue (ITV television special), Robbie Williams, Will Young & Hayley Westenra. She has worked as a backing vocalist on television shows such as Pop Idol, Soapstar Superstar, Stars in their Eyes & each series (to date) of The X Factor.Commercials: Burger King 1.99er Campaign, Honda Civic, Marks & Spencer's Xmas Commercial 2007, Coca Cola USA & St. Ivel Shape Yoghurt.
