It could be said that Connie Conway was born to perform! Her mother still swears that from a very early age if you opened a fridge door she would give you a 15 minute spot.

So she was kept in a darkened room with just a television till the age of 7 when she escaped to take dance lessons. That was just the start of a very long and varied performing career.

Emulating her childhood hero (Bonnie Langford) she moved into Musical Theatre managing to work with all the greats; Dame Shirley, Dionne Warwick, Ruthie Henshall, Little and Large and of course Keith Harris and Orville. After many years of treading the boards Connie was promoted from plain old Mrs Conway to Dame Conway by her colleagues for her services to twirling!

Graeme Clark, the artist behind Dame Connie Conway has mass experience of being a West End Wendy, spending over 15 year on stage in the West End and on numerous National Tours and Cruise Ships, these include the following:

Original Casts of Chicago and Mack and Mabel West End.

Chorus Line and Beauty and the Beast National tours.

Graeme has also just joined with Lady James to perform together in a brand new double act called ‘All Mouth And No Trousers” and is looking forward to tap dancing and singing his way around the country one more time!
