NICOLETTE STREET
Nicolette Street wrote and produced her first album while spending the majority of her time in New York a couple of years ago. She worked with musicians who had been involved with Renaissance, Madonna, Roberta Flack and the like. While in the US she gave the premier performance of the album in Foxwoods, Connetticutt. This is the US's largest Indian Reservation casino, which graced the likes of Taylor Dayne, Blondie and BB King while she performed there.
The performance had such success that the casino immediately requested Nicolette back and a 2nd performance was schedules just 2 weeks later to the original.
She moved her music career back the UK following this success choosing to focus on the UK market. In October 05 Nicolette performed live with Anastacia at Wembley having won a vocal competition being held between Sony BMG and Capital FM.
Since then she has worked with a number of individuals and had a number of successful singles. Nicolette has just written music with a couple of very prominent funk DJs 'BENZO'. She is currently working on some new material with them and will be headlining their next club night 'REVIVE'.
A few months ago she completed work on backing vocals for Hazel O'Connor's new album, this being produced with Martin Rushent. She is currently working with him on his new album. She was spotted by BUSFACE & asked to feature with them on their next single, (Busface's last single was released with Sophie Ellis Bextor, which hit number one in some European countries.) She has also just worked with the producer Paul Boddy, who co-wrote & co-produced Mel C's new album's title track 'Beautiful Intentions'. She recently finished recording an album with Klub Kidz for Klone Records, on release in all record stores and called "X-Cite". This album hit number 2 in the European Dance Charts.
Nicolette has also recorded a single with the awesome Joey Negro. Any hard hitting dance lovers will know this DJ inside out and back to front.
Nicolette has the ability to sing all styles of music varying from Jazz, R&B, Soul, Theatre, Dance to Rock. This gives her the ability to be completely flexible in any environment. She has worked as the lead singer on the Radisson Diamond ( the world's first 6* Cruise Ship, recorded a number of Jazz songs. Sung for numerous Corporate functions including on the London Bridge..
Her flexibility allows a variation of music to the client with her session band, any style of music can be covered and any musicians sourced in order to create the perfect mix for an event. e.g. 1 Jazz Set, 1 Dance set, etc.
Her own compositions have also been used for websites, radio jingles and some songs have been put through to other artists to perform ( including Tina Turner was given one).
Nicolette is still gigging around the country making her presence heard. For those who know Nicolette she has as most of you know been an avid supporter of all the Pride events countrywide for a number of years.
Nicolette is very happy to be working with Refire, and looking forward to working the bars and clubs up and down the UK showcasing her own amazing music, and of course the many covers she is famous for with her beautiful voice.
